Our Mission Statement
To restore representative government. Congress needs to reclaim the role assigned by our founding documents. I want to work to heal our democracy so these United States of America can again be a beacon of hope, prosperity, inclusiveness, and peace.
The five principles that guide my campaign are:

Integrity
Everything I do in Congress will be for the good of the Second Congressional District. With your voices to guide me, I will advocate for water rights, forest maintenance and firefighting, fair prices for our farmers and ranchers, affordable housing and health care, and sensible utilization of and stewardship of our natural resources, including the abundant rare earth minerals located in our district.
Democracy
Our founders gave us a republic with well-considered mechanisms for decision-making. Following the principle of “no taxation without representation”, they entrusted the U.S. House of Representative alone the power to set federal taxes and to assign expenditures as well as to commit U.S. forces to armed conflict. I will lead the effort to reclaim the proper role of Congress as “the bulwark of liberty” in matters involving war powers, revenue, and spending.

Evidence-Based Solutions
Problem-solving with the best ideas, wherever they originate. I’ll join a bi-partisan group of legislators committed to advancing real solutions and designing a cost-effective national budget.
American Know-How
We’re the Land of Getting Stuff Done. Innovation can set aside politics and create a new, united way forward in water rights, resource use, gun safety, affordable housing, immigration, and affordable health care and housing. I reject the “no we can’t” lies about building better, generating power more reliably and cheaply, and putting the reins on artificial intelligence. We’re America – just watch us!

Service
Learning from my constituents, advocating for them, and doing the work that helps them individually and as a community. Because your voice matters.
