To restore representative government. Congress needs to reclaim the role assigned by our founding documents. I want to work to heal our democracy so these United States of America can again be a beacon of hope, prosperity, inclusiveness, and peace.

About Me
Everything I’ve done in my life so far has led to this:
- My first job was in the office of my local Member of Congress, which gave me an appreciation for the importance of constituent service.
- After doing graduate work in economics and international relations at Columbia University, I created manuals and gave training on computers and wrote for nonprofits (manuals, press releases, and fund-raising)
- I was a technical writer in the mental health field for 15 years.
- I was a small business owner for another 15 years.
- In 2014, I helped create a company that offered online professional education throughout the US, writing classes on federal and state laws and regulations that govern taxes, real estate, banking, commerce, and insurance, including the ACA.
I am a policy wonk, obsessed with details, nuts and bolts, how things work, why things work, and how to make them work better.
Oregon has been my home for nearly 34 years and when I go to Washington, while others are there as Democrats and Republicans, I’ll be there as an Oregonian.

Tikkun Olam
The North Star that guides me is Tikkun Olam, often translated as “Heal the World”. None of us can heal the entire world, but we can make better what’s within our reach and that, if all of us do that, we WILL heal the world.
